Sponsorship questions
The details sponsors ask about most. Have another? Email tails@northaventrail.org.
What do I get as a sponsor?
A yard sign at your grazing area, your name on this page's sponsor thank-you roll, and a dedicated page for your zone with your name — plus your logo and website link if you sponsor as a business.
How much does a sponsorship cost?
Sponsorships start at $500 per grazing area for the season, and you're welcome to give more. Pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay through Stripe's secure checkout — or choose "Check by mail" or "Donor-Advised Fund" in the sponsor form and we'll hold your area for 14 days while your payment is on its way.
Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?
Yes. Friends of Northaven Trail, Inc. is a U.S. nonprofit, tax-exempt charitable organization (tax identification number 27-2405143) under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code. Keep your emailed receipt as your donation record.
Who can sponsor a grazing area?
Businesses, organizations, individuals, and families. You can also sponsor anonymously — the sign and zone page will read "Anonymous Donor."
When will my name appear?
Our team gives every sponsorship a quick review after checkout — usually within a few days. Once approved, your name (and logo, if provided) appears on this page and on your zone's page.
When does my yard sign go up?
Signs are installed before the herd starts grazing — currently slated for October 2 — and stay up through the end of the program, currently the end of October.
How long does my sponsorship last?
Naming rights run for the current season. Zones open up again for sponsorship each new season, and returning sponsors are always welcome.
What does "Temporarily held" mean on the map?
Another supporter has claimed that grazing area. A card checkout holds it for about half an hour; a check or donor-advised fund pledge holds it until the payment arrives (up to 14 days). If their payment doesn't come through, the area frees up automatically at the time shown.
What if I change my mind?
Email the project team at tails@northaventrail.org before September 1 for a full refund — your grazing area is released for someone else to claim.
What does my sponsorship fund?
Herding, fencing, signs, restoration work, and project logistics for the TAILS habitat program on the Northaven Trail.
Just want to make a donation?
Gifts of any size support the herd — no zone required. Give to the Graze now has its own page.
Need help with a sponsorship?
Prefer to pay by check or donor-advised fund? Choose that option right in the sponsor form and we'll hold your area while your payment is on its way. For comps, sponsor wording questions, or anything else, email tails@northaventrail.org.
