Use the main Northaven Trail parking guide to find nearby lots and trail entrances. Choose the access point closest to the current grazing area.

The flock is viewed from the paved trail. Distance from parking and temporary crowding vary by grazing area, so use the map to plan the shortest practical route.

Schools and groups

Contact the TAILS team before organizing a group visit so the timing, location, and on-site conditions can be coordinated.

Do

  • Observe and take photos from a safe distance.
  • Stay on the trail and respect temporary grazing zones.
  • Keep dogs leashed, calm, and away from the fencing.
  • Follow posted signs and directions from on-site herders.
  • Leave room for other people using the trail.

  • Do not touch, feed, chase, or crowd the animals.
  • Do not touch or lean on the electric fence.
  • Do not enter the enclosure.
  • Do not use whistles, horns, or loud noises nearby.
  • Do not allow children or pets to climb the fencing.
